I really really want a Series 1 E-Type. But money is a factor to me and unless it’s a piece of rust with a Vin plate on it, I probably can’t afford it. There is an amazing !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for sale from !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Its the wrong engine (I love the V12, but come one, straight 6!), it’s the wrong color (I want Opalescent Dark Green), and it is beat to hell. I really want to sell all my vehicles and buy this. Being a ‘74 means CARB doesn’t give a fuck and I can rip all the smog equipment off, cam it, put on bigger carbs, and a blow through turbo setup. I think this would be an amazing driving project. Fix the rust and just enjoy that classic British Motoring. I really wish I had the confidence to pull this off... Just look at it in all it’s wonderful glory.
Such Beauty
Such Grace
I love how beat up it is. I just can’t help staring. I want it in my life. I have driving gloves and a scarf already...
Just pull off the safety bumpers
Top Up
HAS OPTIONAL HARD TOP!!!!!
Seat covers are all i need
It is so perfect with all those switched!!!! And manual DUH!
I love old school Smith gauges, but they need chrome rings.
Comes with everything.
Look at that complicated mess..... I WANT IT!
So fucking pretty!
I really, really want this car, like really badly. To just have a patinaed E-Type is a dream of mine. I need some classic motoring especially after watching !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! videos this morning. Like this Jonnie Walker ad.

Looks like someone has been sorting Hemmings results by price: low to high.

BHCC means that it’s double it’s price. You can find better series 3's around.

Wow, that’s still so much money for a S3. Are you looking specifically for a roadster? Early 2+2s are still reasonable in price, my uncle has a really solid series 1.5 that’ll probably be sold for a number somewhere in the teens. I’d buy it myself, but it’s FHC or nothing for me...and unfortunately with the way prices are going, it’ll certainly be nothing.

Yes, roadster is a must, I hate the coupe.

Really? Even a roadster? This is the cheapest, maybe driveable roadster I have seen. The 2+2s sure, but not a roadster.

BHCC is the worst place to buy a classic, their pricing is insane.

That’s why I say terrible idea. It makes no sense, but it has just caught my eye and drawn me in. I can’t get the idea out of my head.

:) The reason I said that, is if you do search Hemmings E-Types from low--> High, the first page is always Beverly Hills Car Club.
Sure, they have some nicer stuff too, but with those results it makes me think they have a sign at every lake and river that says,
“If a Jaguar is ever pulled out of these waters, please contact the Beverly Hills Car Club”

Gotcha, then a S3 is probably your best bet. My other uncle (we used to be a Jaguar family) has a triple black ‘67 roadster in a shed behind his house that I bet hasn’t aged well at all.

10/10 would daily as is. V12 is king. I don’t think there’s any way you’re gonna get a turbo setup to work on this engine because the carbs barely work in their stock configuration, haha, and the turbo manifold for 6 webers would probably cost a fortune or take a crazy amount of time to build. Find an engineless one if you want a straight 6, these are slower than a 240z.

Get in line. I think right now the dibs ranking goes his eldest daughter, me, his grandson, and then you. But he doesn’t really like me anymore, so you’re probably third.

That is a gloriously bad idea. Do it. The Series 3 coup doesn’t do anything for me but the roadster still has a bit of the ol’ pizzazz.

I would build my own turbo manifold to fit up against triple side draft webers. The SU carbs are cool, but not efficient enough. Then I’d have 6 carbs to tune with turbo pressure. It’d be so much fun!
